This tent is actually a Tadpole with a hooped vestibule, enabling you to sit and/or eat inside the vestibule - something you really can\'t do in a Tadpole. The tradeoff is that this tent is materially heavier than a Tadpole; I\'d estimate 1.5 pounds heavier. I have used it twice on section hikes of the AT. During the first hike, it was quite warm at night, and I needed to keep the vestibule doors open to catch the breeze and keep the interior cool. Conversely, on the second hike, it was in the high 30s F with a hellacious wind, and the tent was completely snug, with just enough air circulation. If there are two people hiking, so you can split up the load, this tent is bomber for 3 1/2 season usage. For one hiker, it might be too heavy compared to the newer, lighter tents on the market; and if you don\'t anticipate needing to cook in the vestibule, you might want to consider the Tadpole instead.... The picture is at the Standing Indian Shelter of the AT in North Carolina.
