: I am in the same situation, I have the tent, but no rainfly. Need to get a rainfly for this tent.
If any experts here can help by posting
1. Where to get this rainfly. REI don\'t sell them separate, which is stupid in my opinion. (I am sure they want you to buy a brand new one instead)
2. How to make a rainfly for this tent. That would be great.
Thanks.....

: Hi, anyone can help me out?
I only have the tent body for this Half Dome 2 HC tent, but missing the rainfly. Does anybody know where I can get the rainfly that can match the same model?

REI's most popular two-person backpacking tent has been updated--new hub/combi pole design provides greater interior space and easier setup.
Variable pole diameters create walls that flex out a bit towards the top and therefore provide greater interior space
Hub attachment contributes to an easier set up and adds structural integrity
Poles remain attached to hub; simply hook center of tent to hub, attach poles at tent corners and clip tent up--bingo!--setup is complete
Features pole clips and DAC Featherlite® combi-aluminum poles with locking pole tips for a light and easy set up
Two doors and vestibules for super-convenient entry/exit and separate storage areas
Insider floor seams are engineered to create a nice, clean taut pitch and maximize floor space; factory seam-taping ensure a waterproof seal
Large D-shaped doors with no-see-um mesh panels and no-see-um mesh front and rear windows allow cross-ventilation, preventing condensation
Tent stays organized with the attic (included) and four interior pockets
Full-coverage, factory-sealed, UV-resistant, taut polyester rainfly protects the tent; two roof vents allow excellent airflow to prevent condensation
Nicely placed clear film window in rainfly is the perfect size to view the weather conditions from inside tent
Leak-proof rainfly construction ensures that water won't sneak through susceptible areas such as guy-out points and zippers in wet conditions
Attention to detail shows in the reflective guy points and adjustable cleat-lock tie-downs on the rainfly
Nine-section shockcorded poles break down a bit smaller to fit easily in your backpack; hub/poles remain attached during transport
Footprint (sold separately) extends the life of your tent by protecting it from abrasive wear and tear
Save weight by creating a minimalist shelter using rainfly, poles and footprint only
Comes with guylines and tighteners, stakes, pole repair tube, pole and stake bags, and tapered, easy-to-stuff compression stuff sack
Average minimum weight specification is based on tent, rainfly and poles only
