The SuperTarp is about double the size of the ParaTarp (and uses twice the paraglider fabric), yet weighs just 16 ounces. For five ounces more than the ParaTarp, the truly abundant space is worth it.
The SuperTarp is very much like a frontless ParaTipi, except the front height is 52", instead of 56", so that ANY Trekking poles can be used for set-up. Ideal for summertime soloing and dedicated camping.
- Plenty large for two men and gear
- Full protection from 3 sides (please note, there is no "door")
- Front allows you to build a fire for warmth or take the chill off with one of our stoves.
- Overhead eave helps keep the drips out.
- The SuperTarp also functions as a great catch-all shelter for your gear.
Designer's notes: ...it is plenty large for two men and gear. On the other hand, for constant day-pack carry in the event of unplanned bivouacing the original ParaTarp is the ticket. Five ounces is five ounces when the thing may NEVER actually get used. - Patrick Smith
