Strong and compact
The Niak is an all-purpose tent for those enjoying “roughing it”. This tent presents itself in all simplicity and versatility to two people or the solo user. It answers to the desire of people to use an all weather dome tent with the low weight that is not often found with this design. Snowy conditions and autumn winds are braved with indifference.Anywhere between towering heights in the mountains and a weekend by your favourite lake this little performer will ensure that you live and sleep in safety and comfort.
There is a small storage area behind the inner tent, accessible from the inside only.
Under the safety of the roof cover there are panels of uncoated fabric allowing rising warm and moist air to escape.
Definitely an advantage in the hills or other places where a difficult terrain can be expected: only three pegs are needed to pitch the Niak – but whenever possible more pegs and the lines will make it safer in case the wind picks up without you noticing it.
Pitching the Niak:
In contrast to our other dome tents the Niak has only two poles and therefore single pole sleeves, as with our tunnel tents. You insert one pole into the full depth of one sleeve and do the same with the other pole. Then place the ends of the poles into the pole tensioners and pull the webbing of the tensioner until the cup is placed against the outer tent fabric. Place at least three pegs (two at the vestibule and one on the back of the tent) to stake out the vestibule. Remember to also peg the guy lines if there is risk for upcoming wind.
Pitching of inner tent requires extra pole holders -see accessories.
