I\'m sleeping with all vents open and am waking up with a water droplets on the top of my sleeping bag where it has dripped off the roof. Now what?

An absolutely amazing tent. I have stripped mine down to the basic number of pegs etc, and it weighs in at a pack weight of 1.350 kg. It is very stable in strong winds, easy to pitch, and very water proof. The only problem is that in a wet or damp area with no wind, the tent does get a little condensation in it, even with all the vents fully open. It\'s not enough to wet you or your gear, but it is enough to be a nuisance.

I\'ve had 2 aktos, the first 1 saw me good for over 10 years, zip then failed, i could have repaired but I thought it time for a new tent. After looking for literally weeks at the offerings out there i decided on another akto. Over the years Hilleberg have made a few improvments, zips are now covered and venting has been improved, the fabric itself is stronger, no doult Hilleberg could have made it lighter instead but decided to strengthen the tent further, imo a good choice. there are also reflecters and I\'m convinced the new tent is a little lighter. It came down to 3 tents in the end, 1 was a horrendous yellow colour and the second 1 didnt look as strong, both were lighter than the akto though but would i trust them in a storm, the akto has been proven on polar expeditions, i myself sat out a storm that was later suggested to be one of the worste to hit scotland for years. (double poled with orginal pole carbon fibre)

I own a Akto. It weighs 1567 grams (all included, 10 pegs and a bag sparepole) (innertent 484 g).
Good mountain tent - withstands strong wind, heavy rain, no problem, pitches fast. Only weaknesses: not enough ventilation for damp (e.g. valley) spots, a good fall of wet snow will flatten it (though it comes back up when the snow is brushed off).

i have run my akto a solid 2 months now and like it more very time i use it. most often, the bloom fades quickly for me with tents. but akto is better than it appears at first. it very badly needed a better window, and i installed one which worked nicely. in most rain, you can leave the door open and not get drizzeled on, and while your gear stays dry too ! this is a big deal in a small tent. real weight of tent-poles-fly is 2# 15oz, and you gotta add guy lines to that. although more tent than the vast majority of us will ever need, if you are going north, it might be not such a bad idea. my hilleberg unna was a pain in the shorts. akto .. almost perfect.

Nor can Mehtap! I want to say that your site better throughout the World Wide Web :)
Thank you. Keep it.
- Excellent wind stability
- I have no problems with the amount of space for a solo tent. I am 180cm. A taller person may have problems
although this tent should probably be long enough for anyone up to 200cm.
- I have sat out poor weather for 24 hours in this tent and opening up the inner created a comfortable and roomy
shelter inside the outer tent.
-Probably the lightest tent in it class. Lighter solo tents are available but they will be 3-season tents or single
walled tents. Stephenson make lighter weight four season solo tents, but they are single walled.
-This tent does have some condensation, but I have never had it get bad enough to drip, even on wet nights
camped near rivers. The condensation does not present a problem for me but may for some.
- Pitching takes a couple of practice runs, but is very easy after a few goes. Careful site selection is
required as the tent requires that at least four guylines be anchored. With a little creativity for guyline anchor
points this does not present a problem.
Overall, absolutely worth the money for solo travel in all seasons. Even if you never head out solo, the light
weight of this tent means you can have your own room at the end of the day!!

Featherlight solo tent
When the Akto was introduced 10 years ago it immediately set new standards for solo tents in the market. Innovative design offers unmatched stability, convenience and volume for a tent with only a single pole while keeping its weight to anabsolute minimum.
You choose Akto if you want the very lightest tent and still want to be equipped for harsh weather, strong wind and pelting rain. Fiberglass rods in the corners keep the tent up and provide the volume needed to avoid feeling cramped without adding significantly to the total weight.
1.6 kg/3lbs 8oz is actually not much more than what a roomier sleeping bag cover weighs but the Akto has so much more! There is ample room for moving about and for stretching in the morning and the vestibule provides a sheltered area for your equipment and to eat under cover.Three vents, two at the ends of the tent and one high up at the entrance give sufficient ventilation.
In need of a comfy bedroom with low weight, plenty of space and foul weather protection? Step right in! Akto is a multi-talented tent for adventure racers on a quest for minimal loads and for those who seek to keep their backpacks light on longer hikes into the wilderness.A Hilleberg tent for all seasons!
Pitching of inner tent requires extra pole holders -see accessories.
Akto advantage:
• Outer tent fabric in Kerlon 1200
• Inner tent fabric in repellent and venting nylon
• Strong nylon ground sheet with PU coating, bathtub floor
• Pole tensioner wide enough for “double poling”
• Pole sleeve with one opening only with room for “double poling”
• No-see-um netting in inner tent entrance (with covering panel)
• Spacious vestibule for (wet) gear and the preparation of food
• Vent in outer tent can be closed completely
• Outer tent vent of water repellent and snow proof fabric under cover
• Linked inner and outer tents which pitch simultaneously – both can also be pitched separately
• Two strong guy line attachments and double line runners on each side
• Clothes line loops and inner pocket in the inner tent
• Vent high up in the roof for best “chimney effect” and two vents at the ends of the tent.
