+ I CAN ANSWER TOO! hectormctavish asked : well i ve been studying the hennessy hammock for a while to research on it s spec i am looking for it to do the west highland way and the great glen way as 1 walk will it suit the climate in the early summer with a 4 season sleeping bag i just dont want to have the hassle of a tent
toast replied: with a four season it will easily cope (i had it out last weekend with just a light bag and a jumper on the moors)
toast says : great tent only dounside is it needs somthing to hold onto (trees) realy comfy. great weght and size kit storage is best done with another (string) hamock strung underneeth it or puting stuf in moskito headnets and tie to ends of tent (inside sleeping part)

traveldog says : I\'ve had this for over a year and have used it mainly in the tropics (SE Asia) where it really shines. The biggest problem with tents in the tropics is that with a rain fly on (believe me you need to keep it on) the heat and humidity makes for a miserable night. With this hammock I\'ve I\'ve actually had to curl up under a lightweight sleepsack to keep the chill off. The secret is that the rain fly does a wonderfull job of keeping the downpours off of you while not restricting airflow. On top of it all the comfort level is great! Setup is a breeze though does require a little practice. The weight is good and packability excellent because it has no poles. The only reason I don\'t rate this higher is that you need have a couple of sturdy trees and sometimes that can be a bit difficult. Overall I recomend this one!!!

Next thing we did was to put a tightly braided polyester covering over the Spectra support ropes for great handling and wear-resisistance.

And finally, we adde a really big, one piece silnylon rainfly. At first, we worried that it was too big, but we decided a couple more ounces are a worthwhile tradeoff for all that extra coverage.

The Ultralight Backpacker A-sym made additionally comfortable by the higher thread count fabrics which are also impervious to mosquitoes. Also functions as a tent with a pair of hiking poles or as a chair/lounger. Made in USA/Canada.
