Km says : By the way, how come its classifed as a 3-season tent on this site?? The Genius series is a 4-season tent. Personally i think its closer to an expedition tent, and it is classified by Haglofs as a mountain-tent. Why do you think it weighs as much as it does?

Mads says : Ogilyv: The Genius 12 is a great chpoice for you. Its wind tested to 28-35 m/s...Thats full storm strength. The price to pay for this sturdiness is the weight. Other than that its a great tent.

ogilvy says : is it good or should i go for Hilleberg Akto.... going to northern lapland for two weeks in one month! the Akto is x-tremely light, yet on mount Knebnekaise and around Abisko (above polar-circle in sweden) weather changes in a second and from wind-still it can suddenly become extreme windy...! the Akto has only one pole, whereas the Genius has three... please advice me, if possible

Jojo says : Great tent with lots of space for gear in inner tent and apside. Roomy feeling. Defenitely four season (snow flaps) with enormous stability even in strong winds. Free standing construction and (genius) two floor principle allows versatile use on different ground conditions troughout the year! Only disanvantage: relativley heavy weight.
