+ I CAN ANSWER TOO! has anyone used this tent in heavy rain? wondering if it leaks
speeddemon replied: Yes and no. I bought this tent 2 years ago. I coated it with the waterproofing stuff and had NO leaks. Last year during one of our camping trips we had a small problem with the fly, it is too big for the frame and we got a puddle on the one side and it leaked horribly. This year we had no problems with the fly as I pulled it tighter on the one end. It rained almost every day of our 11 days camping and not one drop of water got in.

After 2 years of use I broke my first pole, one of the end ones. I sprayed it with waterproofing prior to first use and left it up in 3 rain storms to break it in. I love the space and the ability to stand up. As a single mom I love the ease of set up and take down. My only complaint was the fly was too big, until I figured that out, we had a huge puddle of water in one end every time it rained and it would force us all down to the other side of the tent.

The fly poles broke after 2 set-ups.......in heavy rain, the tent leaked badly in both ends.
